May Wish List

If May were an emotion, I think it would happy anticipation. It signifies the drawing nearer and nearer of Summer, of bbq's outdoors, of beach days and eating ice creams on long walks. For many, it is also a time of immense pressure and stress as exams loom. To keep a happy heart and not delve too deeply into finals woes, I have written a wish list for what I am lusting for this month.

To visit:

Light Night Liverpool, 15 May

May is shaping up to be a very exciting month for events in Liverpool. The annual LightNight is taking place mid-month, with a heap of different exhibition, performances and talks taking place throughout the evening and night.

To see:

Game of Thrones

Unless you have been living under a rock, you will surely have heard a lot of people raving about the latest series of Game of Thrones, basically the best series EVER. I have enjoyed watching the first few episodes, and am waiting in anticipation for the action to unravel throughout the next month!

To eat:

The Moon & Pea, Lark Lane

This is another one from mine and Emma's bucketlist. I am ashamed to say that even after three years of studying in Liverpool, I have never once visited this popular bistro, although I have had a look around the deli, but have only heard good things about it. This month of revision and stress seems like the perfect time to check it out!

To read:

The Jungle Book

Although I am a fan of all Disney films, the Jungle Book has always been one of my favourites. This month I am looking to read book which will take me right back to my childhood, and I think the Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling will be the perfect bedside read!

To buy:

'Black Toast' Flute Glasses

I am a massive sucker for anything Emma Bridgewater, a trait which I can thank my Mum for! These champagne flutes are beautiful, perfect for toasting in the summer with a glass of bubbly at the next BBQ gathering.

To wear:

White Dresses

With the warmer weather, out comes the white! I love this number from Jack Wills. But basically anything white, summery and pretty will do!

To cook:

Baked Sweet Potato Curly Fries

I have been constantly adding to my 'delicious' Pinterest board these past few days, and this was one of the first posts I pinned. I mean, just how delicious do they look? And you only need minimal ingredients. Perfect!

To bake:

Raspberry Chocolate Chip Protein Brownies

I have also been aggressively pinning every baking recipe which catches my eye to my 'bakes' board. These protein packed babies are taken from a buzz feed article, but the original recipe can be found at Ambitious Kitchen.
