The Teabox Company

“You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me.”
- C.S.Lewis

Sometimes, there really is nothing better than a good cup of
tea (actually scrap that, most of the time). But what defines a good cup of tea is quite subjective. Some like it milky, some like it sugary and some like it iced! I personally prefer herbal and green teas, or preferably, a combination of the two!

One thing which I think the majority of us can agree on is that loose is always best. It's fresher, more traditional, more seasonal and, most importantly, tastier!

The Teabox Company, based in Liverpool, is a tea company on a mission, to get the world drinking loose leaf tea, one cup at a time.

The whole ethos of the company is focused upon great quality tea. They source teas from all over the world, allowing them to source the full and tastiest seasonal leaves available. They also aim to select tea leaves which are organic and have been ethically farmed.

My tea buddy, Emma, and I decided to try out the excitingly pomegranate green tea first.

The tea is described as a premium Sri Lankan green tea layered with dried fruit, hibiscus and rose hip pieces. And believe me, it smells just as good as it sounds. That is one of the greatest benefits of loose leaf, no tea bag could ever beat the aroma of freshly brewed loose leaf!

Each box has easy to follow instructions. We opted for a tea pot rather than using individual strainers.

Roses for an English Rosie!

Place a teaspoon of your chosen loose leaf for 'the pot' and then one for each person partaking in the tea drinking.

Pour in freshly boiled water, and let the aroma surrond you! Allow the leaves to brew for 6 minutes or so before pouring in to cups.

I highly recommend a try of the Tea Box Company's loose lead tea. Let's help them fulfil their mission and all get drinking loose leaf!
