End of Season Awards Night

'All the art of living lies in a fine mingling of letting go and holding on.'
                                                                            - Henry Ellis

There is nothing I like more than fancy food, cocktails and mingling with my friends. After a year of hard work and dedication, the Liverpool Foxes Cheerleading committee decided it was time to host an awards meal to celebrate all of our hard work.

What better way to celebrate than with fabulous food, fancy cocktails and fashionable friends down at Panam Bar/Restaurant on the Albert Docks. My fellow University cheerleaders and I got dolled up and headed down to the windy heart of sophisticated Liverpudlian restaurants and night life.

Once inside and sheltered from the weather of outside, we sampled some of the cocktails on offer. Sipping on a Strawberry Daiquiri, I caught up with my cheerleading buddies who I hadn't seen since the end of season competitions and training sessions. A few cocktails later, we all headed up to our tables with a great view of the Albert docks and started discussing the prospect of a three course meal which many of us had spent days fantasising about (as is the life of a student).

Suitably stuffed from the rich food and wine, it was time for the awards to be handed out. The coaches and other committe members gave out countless awards ranging from 'naughtiest newbie' and 'AU legend' to more sporty awards of 'best spirit' and 'best flyer'. We giggled and cheered as each award was given out, and were left feeling emotional once our coaches said their final speeches of the year. It was a fabulous night to round off a great year of cheer for the Liverpool Foxes, and I'm not exaggerating when I say without these girls my freshers year at Liverpool would have been A LOT less fun!

Looking very chuffed with my two awards!

The beautiful Becky & Vanessa with their 'cheer hoemance' award

Our wonderful Level 2 coach looking beautiful with our gifts. Well deserved for all her hard work!
Lets hope the next year of cheer is just as much filled with working hard and partying even harder!
